Let’s be honest, there are countless reasons to love the fall season. Crisp weather, pumpkin picking and spooky movie marathons, just to name a few. Our favorite part of the fall season at Fantasy Island Amusement Park is our Annual Halloween Fun Fest. For the past three years, we have offered a fun and festive filled event for families with children of all ages. Although our Annual Halloween Fun Fest has already come and gone this year, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at all the fun from our 2021 event!
#1: Spook-Tacular Trick-or-Treat Trail
No tricks here, just treats! Our Halloween Fun Fest wouldn’t be complete without the timeless tradition of trick-or-treating. Guests visited each of the 11 trick-or-treat spots to find fun toys or delicious goodies to fill their complimentary Fantasy Island Halloween tote bags with.
#2: Wicked Awesome Costume Contest
Our costume contests are always fun because of all the creativity our guests bring! Whether it’s homemade or store bought, we are always impressed with our guests’ ability to make their costumes come to life. The competition is so great we can never pick just 1 winner – so we break up the contest by age groups. Participants parade in front of the judges to show off their costumes and demonstrate their creativity. Winners were crowned at the end of the night and received some pretty fang-tastic prizes! Our 1st place winners received 2 unlimited ride passes for the 2022 season, a $40 game card and 25,000 arcade points. Our 2nd place winners were given 1 unlimited ride pass for the 2022 season, a $20 game card and 10,000 arcade points. The winners for honorable mention won a ride pass for the 2022 season. #3: Pumpkin Patch and Decorating Station
Pumpkin picking is a seasonal staple and one of our favorite Halloween Fun Fest activities. Our guests explored our pumpkin patch to find their perfect pumpkin. After choosing one, they got the opportunity to decorate their pumpkin with spooky and silly stickers and take them home!
#4: Eerie-sistable Exclusive Fall Treats
Guests satisfied their sugar cravings with some sweet treats from Scoops Up and Snack Shack. Our fall treats are always festive and delicious with pumpkin spice and everything nice! One of our featured items from Halloween Fun Fest this year was our Pumpkin Funnel Cake. We were so excited to put a little fall twist on this delicious amusement park classic. Guests enjoyed homemade funnel cake topped with pumpkin ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. We also offered a sweet Apple Pie Super Shake that was made with apple pie ice cream, caramel drizzle, vanilla frosting rim and graham cracker crumbs. For those who were feeling wicked, we offered our Witch’s Brew Super Shake with mint chocolate chip ice cream, vanilla icing, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream and Halloween candy rim was a fan favorite. We also featured other spooky treats like our refreshing citrus flavored Ghoulish Lemonade, Green Goblin Fried Oreos and Boo-Licious Popcorn!
#5: Fang-tastic Complimentary Family Photo Sessions
At Fantasy Island, we’re big on making memories that last. That’s why we offered complimentary photos for our guests in front of our festive Halloween fun backdrop. Our guests showed off their epic costumes and smiled for the camera for some scary good fall photos.
#6: Let’s Boo-gie with a DJ Monster Mash
Beauties, beasts and spooky beats! It was all smiles from our guests as they danced the night away with some classic tunes with a DJ Monster Mash. This celebration goes all night long with a dance party at the end of the night to top it all off. Beware, this is a monster mash that you don’t want to miss!
#7: Have Some Skele-fun with Select Rides and Boardwalk Games
The fun never stops here at Fantasy Island Amusement Park! Along with all the previously listed activities, we also had select rides and boardwalk games open for our guests’ entertainment. We offered plenty of things to do so that there was never a dull moment for our guests and their families. Fantasy Island’s Halloween Fun Fest delivered a night packed with fun so that our guests had a night packed with memories!
#8: Go Big or Gourd Home in the Arcade
Finally, we of course had our newly upgraded arcade open for our guests to test their gaming skills.
At this event, there was truly something for everyone. No matter the age, your entire family is guaranteed to make some fun, lasting memories at our Halloween Fun Fest.
